Five Songs Without Words - III
Five Songs Without Words, Op. 35 - III. Animato, Ma Non Allegro
3:46
Composed by Sergei Prokofiev
Performed by Warner Campos, clarinet, and Rick Ferguson, piano
Romantic Songs for Clarinet And Piano features Wagner Campos on clarinet and Rick Ferguson on piano. The duo setting provides a perfect stage for this mix of melodic, impressionist and modern forms of expression. In many ways, the words romance and melodic are synonymous. The intensely warm tone of Wagner Campos works well with Mr. Ferguson's emotionally accurate pianism. The duo becomes one as they explore the last century of classical composition.
Wagner Campos, a native of Costa Rica, received his Masters degree from DePaul University in Chicago where he studied with Larry Combs, the principal clarinetist of The Chicago Symphony. "Wagner Campos is one of the bright lights of his generation of clarinet performers." ~Larry Combs, Principal Clarinet, The Chicago Symphony.
Rick Ferguson, a native of Gadsden, Alabama received his Masters degree from The University of Houston. The concept of this recording and many of the arrangements are attributed to the artist's extensive research and love of the material.
